Furthermore, DBH disposes strong experience which was generated by active participation in other EU-co-financed research or implementation projects in the environment of ICT and Logistics like MIELE, B2MoS, CASSANDRA, CORE, MITIGATE, I-PORT or GEEN C PPORTS. This know-how will be placed and integrated as a large benefit in the whole LOGISTAR project.

Within the LOGISTAR project, DBH Logistics IT AG participates in various activities, beginning from the definition of the end user needs through the main part of integration, implementation and testing until the dissemination and exploitation phase.

Based on DBH’s experience in both the technical part of logistics systems development as well as profound knowledge in the operational processes along the whole supply chain, DBH has taken an active role in the definition of functional and end user requirements, and strategic assessment in the beginning of the project.

DBH designed the distributed system architecture in cooperation with Software AG and Semantic Web Company as a solid basis for the integration of the arising software components developed in the project. Additionally, DBH implements the main user interface for the “Logistics Planner Module” that integrates the outcome of other modules into a user-centered web application. With the experience in the technical and logistics domain, DBH plays an important role in the transition of requirements into a final software solution.

Finally, DBH participates in the dissemination and exploitation activities of LOGISTAR based on its available international network/marketing channels and business expertise in the area of port logistics and its hinterland connections along the whole supply-chain.

On the one hand, we expect the LOGISTAR project to result in a digital platform, which will generate decision proposals by intelligently combining and evaluating existing information for optimizing the transport chain, taking into account various aspects such as time savings or CO2 avoidance.

The other point of view are our expectations, that the best practices gained from the project, especially in the technical environment of AI and Prediction, can be incorporated into future digital solutions which will be developed by DBH for efficient support of the supply chain.
