LOGISTAR – First Users Board Workshop at IPIC Conference in London

On 10th July 2019 took place the first Users’ Board Workshop at the 6th International Physical Internet Conference, IPIC 2019 in London.

The aim of the workshop was to introduce the project to a wider audience of experts and potential users who can provide feedback about the approach and consider if and how the proposed solution meets the needs of the users’ community. Around 20 people, mix of experts from different fields such as academia, FMCG, consultancy or ICT sectors, attended the workshop.

In the first part of the session a general overview of LOGISTAR and the preliminary findings of the project related to the Living Labs and the users’ requirements were presented by Deusto, Preston and Ahlers.

It was a very fruitful session where stimulating discussions on the proposed approach of the project took place. Main strengths of the project and also the future challenges for a successful implementation and adoption were identified. The outcomes provide a good basis to be taken into account by Consortium for the work in the further course of the project.

LOGISTAR sponsored the IPIC conference and the project was presented by Ahlers in the morning on the session “Trends Changing the Shape of Supply Chain Network”.
